SewerLab........virtual and physical is currently under construction
Sewerlab bulletin board
SEWERLAB is an interdisciplinary organization borrowing methodologies from social and physical sciences for the construction of models for the ecologically sustainable integration of creative and political culture. SEWERLAB's study modules include material life, social life, time, invention, economics and dialogue. We hope to address what we see as the degeneration of social structures that are crucial to democracy, through the creation of eclectic and functioning conversation pieces.
The amorphous area between spectacle and spectatorship is a space we find interesting, and we attempt to problematize these two gestalts by placing ourselves in the position of representative agencies for collection, retrieval and experimentation. Customs, rituals, visual theory, theater and vernacular science are the fodder for reconfigurations of biological, social and economic life.
what is sustainability?
Every increment of added population,
and Each added increment of affluence,
Invariably destroys an increment
Of the remaining environment.

popular lecture)
